Try deleting HKCU\software\microsoft\of fice\14.0\ excel within regedit and C:\users\username\AppData\ Roaming\Mi crosoft\Ex cel\ and see if that helps.

no same thing says Microsoft excel has stopped working
Did you actually uninstall it and then reinstall, or did you just reinstall? You should do the former.
If you know approximately when this started happening you may be able to go back to a Checkpoint and restore the working version.

I uninstalled and reinstalled. and has happened ever since office 2010 was first installed.
Take a look here for what Microsoft suggests trying.
You don't have a lot of options here. If you login with your account, does it work? If yes, then it's likely something in the user's profile and you need to backup their data and blow away their profile through the Control Panel. If the answer is no, then there is some systemic corruption in the computer requiring an OS rebuild and or computer swap.

its actually office as a whole. i have uninstalled it reinstalled it. it doesn't matter who is logged in does the same thing. i had this issue before but it was related to net utilities being installed with tiny term. This isn't the case here. Any other help would be great

Can you post any event log entries indicating a problem with your excel?

It sounds to me like the best car scenario is that there is a shared file problem, more likely it is a windows problem. In either case, the best thing to do is a complete rebuild, assuming you don't have either a good backup or a restore point you can use.
