MS Project 2002 crashes while openning Enterprise Resource Pool

Hello.
MS Project 2002 crashes while openning Enterprise Resource Pool.
It crashes even when Read-only option selected.
The resources seem to be OK, as they can be added to the projects,
and they can be assigned to the tasks.
What can be wrong?
How this can be repaired?
Thank you in advance,
Evgeniy.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

My understanding is that if you move a subproject to another directory OR change the name (which I had done) problems will happen as the file becomes extremely unstable, and after linking and saving a subproject, it will freeze and crash. It's random, which makes it even more frustrating.  We only have 1 or 2 resources assigned to 1 or 2 tasks on 50 projects, so we talking a very small scale.

You could try
1) recreating all sub-projects and the master project schedule from scratch
2) Breaking all links and relinking all subprojects
3) Exporting the project to XML and reimporting
4) Run the project on a machine using virtualized MS Project Server.
