I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I really don't like to cross reference Microsoft threads but in this case I think t may help you.

It's a long read, but take your time and think about what is being said.

Are you sure WMI is working on the remote machine?
Open a command prompt on it (as admin) and run the following
wmic bios
See if you get any output from there.  If you just get an error then WMI needs repairing.
