Outlook 2013 calendar search slowness
What series of things should I be checking to help troubleshoot Calender search slowness in Outlook 2013 (O365). One of our clients is a Law Office, and the receptionist PC has Outlook 2013 on it. She manages 1 calendar for the whole Law Office, and there are loads of recurring appointments in it. It takes roughly 15-17 seconds to get a search result. Outlook just freezes until it can produce the results page.
I have tried re-building the index by going to File > Options > Search tab > Index Options. It took 3 days to rebuild, and is no faster after the fact. I believe now that it's the number of recurring appointments she has in there that go out into the future. Is there any way to globally modify and limit all at once? Or to change the system to only allow them to go a year into the future?

Seems like the mailbox is pretty big in size? Get her to reduce the size by enforcing a stricter Archiving policy, or simply use the Outlook 'cache slider' to only download mail from the last 1year or even 6months. In addition, make sure any shared mailboxes are not being cached. Otherwise, ask her to test from OWA.

This is a shared mailbox, and we're specifically searching the calender only, not the mailbox. How would a large mailbox size affect the calendar searches? They don't return mailbox results.
