php.ini parameters

I am trying to use phpMyadmin to upload files into a MySQL database under XAMPP.

I have the database broken into several exported .sql files so that none are too large.

When I try to upload a file that is just under 7MB, I get this message.

No data was received to import. Either no file name was submitted, or the file size exceeded the maximum size permitted by your PHP configuration.

I got this earlier, so I went into php.ini and changed the following parameters:

upload_max_filesize: 80M
memory_limit: 128M
post_max_filesize: 80M

This are all MUCH larger than the failing filesize.

What else do I have to do?

Thanks

IIRC you need something in the HTML form.  See also:

Ray,

I am using phpmyAdmin, not my own php written scripts.

The error message (from phpmyAdmin) gives explicit reference to the 3 php.ini variables I listed.

I have done this identical thing before; I had to reinstall XAMPP & I can't remember what it had the limits set to before, but it worked

phpMyAdmin is open source, so you can change it if you need to.  I think you need to restart the server and check phpinfo() to be sure the changes were in place.

After changing the php.ini parameters did you restart the apache server?

also compress your .sql files and upload the zipped (or gzipped) version as phpmyadmin can handle compressed files.

To all,

I forgot to restart the server, that's probably it.
