We are a industrial custom equipment manufacturing company . Each customer order is treated as a project and during project execution life cycle there are various documents which gets shared among the project team members .
1) To manage these documents , We are looking for a solution which can work on following aspects .
a) Documents need to be stored on a central storage , so that project team members can access the document pertaining to their assigned project .
b) For a Project , documents need to be categorized into 3 categories .
as an example , say for a Project "Hydraulic Engine 700HP - BHEL" , we have assigned person 1-x1, 1-x2 , 1-y , 1-z. and these person are assigned project category wise as per : Design --> 1-x1 , 1-x2 , Manufacturing --> 1-y , Commercial --> 1-z .
person 1-x1 / 1-x2 should be able to access Project "Hydraulic Engine 700HP - BHEL" , Design related documents only.
person 1-y should be able to access Project "Hydraulic Engine 700HP - BHEL" , Manufacturing related documents only.
person 1-z should be able to access Project "Hydraulic Engine 700HP - BHEL" , Commercial related documents only.
No other person should be able to access documents of Project "Hydraulic Engine 700HP - BHEL".
Similarly , there may be various other Projects and various other combination of assigned team members .
c) If any new document is uploaded / modified then the assigned team members of that project , need to be notified thru E-mail about the document .
2) I request the experts to kindly guide us about the possible solution approach for the above mentioned problem .
