In Opencart how to force CKEditor to stop "correcting" or stripping my HTML code?

I am using OpenCart 2 with CkEditor. When I manually make adjustments to HTML code and save it, CKEditor messes up the code and tries to correct it on its own. One example is when I write the following code:
<span class="Scopri-right"><h2>hai dei prodotti, servizi o eventi da proporre?</h2></span>

Open in new window

after I save it, CKEditor changes it to:
<h2><span class="Scopri-right">hai dei prodotti, servizi o eventi da proporre?</span></h2>

Open in new window

I saw some suggestions on the internet about how to force CKEditor to allow for customizations, so in /admin/view/javascript/ckeditor/ I adjusted two lines in the config.js to:
// Comment out or remove the 2 lines below if you want to enable the Advanced Content Filter
config.allowedContent = true;
config.extraAllowedContent = 'span;ul;li;h1;h2;h3;h4;br;p;table;td;style;*[id];*(*);*{*}';

Open in new window

It is still not behaving as I want it to. Could anyone suggest how I might ensure that the CKEditor does not change any code I set by hand?

thanks in advance
