VB.net loop through today's appointments using Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook namespace

I have a VB.net Excel add in where I need to extract the details of all Outlook for today's date.
I was directed to a VBA example at the following link https://techniclee.wordpress.com/2013/06/21/exporting-appointments-from-outlook-to-excel/?blogsub=subscribed#subscribe-blog
The article under Revision 1
I am trying to find a similar VB.net example that uses the Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook namespace
Does anyone know of an example

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
