publishing google spreadsheet data to a webpage with PHP? or ASP?

I'm trying to create a guestbook for my website.

I have the ability to ask for customers to sign data just nicely. I used Google Forms, and I can collect the data no problem.
See: https://www.ministryideaz.com/Articles.asp?ID=275

Now I need to PUBLISH the responses.

Folks not only want to sign the "guestbook", they also like to browse through and read what other folks have written about our company.

So I'd like to publish the data that is being collected.

Note: I notice Google Docs can publish a "summary" of the data. That is NOT what I want.  I would like to publish all the responses something like:

- – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – - - – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

{name} from {location} wrote the following:
{comment}
{rating}

- – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – - - – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
{name} from {location} wrote the following:
{comment}
{rating}

- – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – - - – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
{name} from {location} wrote the following:
{comment}
{rating}

- – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – - - – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
{name} from {location} wrote the following:
{comment}
{rating}

- – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – - - – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

After about 10 records, there should be  a link to click that says: "view next 10 ..." or something like that.

Anyway, any help about how to do this would be appreciated!

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You might want to consider WordPress.  There are many well-vetted plug-ins that can help with applications like this.  WordPress is written in PHP and runs on any server that can run PHP.  There is also a WordPress hosting option available.

Your spreadsheet is just a datasource.  You can access the data as json by altering the url (and setting permissions to everybody for that sheet) http://blogs.telerik.com/androidteam/posts/15-01-21/google-spreadsheet-as-data-source-android

If you are ok with putting the data in a table, you can  use https://www.datatables.net and in the examples https://www.datatables.net/examples/index on the top right you will see an example for javascript sourced data https://www.datatables.net/examples/data_sources/js_array.html and ajax https://www.datatables.net/examples/data_sources/ajax.html.

Datatables will have the paging built in and as long as you can copy, paste and do a bit of trouble shooting it works nicely.

Otherwise, using your simple example that could be achieved using php or asp from the json output (php my be a bit easier) but you can also do this pure client side with jquery/javascript as well.

Thank you both:

Scott Fell: I really want it formatted as a nice form. (see my example in the original question). Not just view in a table.

Ray Paseur: Good idea. Are there any free "guest book" type templates in WordPress? What about Joomla? Can you do it with that maybe?

My main point is you can use the google doc as a data source just as any database.  Once you have that, you can do what you want as a developer.  As Ray suggests, if you are using a WP site, there are probably plug ins avail that will not require the full knowledge of a developer.

Thanks. I actually ended up setting up a Joomla Guestbook. But your suggestion sent me in the right direction. I abandoned the Google Form idea altogether, since a simple solution simply wasn't possible.
