TSM showing volumes with "%" symbol

Hi all

We have an odd scenario where two of our volumes have sort of duplicated themselves but instead of the same label one character has been transposed with a % character e.g. vol001 is now v%l001

Obviously the volume is not real, but TSM  insists on showing it in its inventory.

Had anyone seen this behaviour before?

TSM 6,3,4

Cheers, JP.

I've seen it once, but it was due to errors on the tape label/barcode reader, rather than on TSM.

Issue a checkout of those volumes, and check what is shown physically on the tape library as the volume name of those tapes.

Apologies, we sorted this out by indeed checking out the volumes. We had tried this before but it had failed so using the 'checklabel=no' option worked...

Thanks anyway.

Even when the customer found out the solution to it's problem by himself, my solution was good for resolution, if he arrived at the same solution without using mine is good, but I do feel that I should get the points (he cannot give them to himself for resolving his own question).
