DNS Issues?

Hello

We are experiencing slow and blank pages in IE9 (were looking at ie11) at one of our remote sites.

The site doesn't have any local DNS but remote DNS servers that are located across a VPN to Head office and another site.  We had issues in the past and i applied this fix to our 2008 DCs https://support2.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;968372
We have recently migrated (still have old 2008 dns) and wondered if the above link would fix this problem?

Is there anything else i can try to prove issue?
I had eliminated the hosted web filtering, permissions etc and nailed to DNS last time..

Thanks

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The link that you have posted is based on Root Hints. Root Hints are only used if Recusive query is not, or cannot find the site you are looking for. I do not think this fix would work for you if your DNS is using Recursive Query which it should be by default.

What is your TTL set to on your DNS servers? Also if you do ipconfig /flushdns on the client does it work for you?

Will.

we think it was actually related to client pointing to web over vpn rather than gong straight out...
