Is there a way to delete a SharePoint 2010 site and all subsite at once?
I have a SharePoint 2010 deployment that only has a single site collection (yes, I know bad architecture).
I need to remove a site that contains many sub sites. I know that I can remove them one at a time, but
I would like to know if there is a way to remove them all at once.
For Example:
Site Collection\
Site Collection\Site1\
Site Collection\Site2\
Site Collection\Site2\Site2a\
Site Collection\Site2\Site2b\
Site Collection\Site2\Site2b\Si te2b1
Site Collection\Site2\Site2b\Si te2b2
Site Collection\Site2\Site2b\Si te2b3
Site Collection\Site2\Site2b\Si te2b3\site 2b3a
In the above simplified example, I would want to remove Site2b (line 5) and all sub sites with a single action.

Unfortunately, that method does not work for me. I was able to get it to work if I deleted all sub sites first ( a very time consumming process).

I found the referenced site's procedure worked.
should be as simple as opening the site (site2) in the browser, open site settings and click on "Delete this site". This will remove subsites as well.
