Outbound links to another site I own for SEO

I am using the Yoast SEO plugin on my site.  One thing it says in my page analysis is that I am not using any outbound links on some pages.

Would there be some advantages to creating a "blog" site at a separate domain which I would maintain and use that for outbound links?

also, my primary domain is

I also own:

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

axessJosh, what's your main intention to use separate outbound links for blog sites? I'll encourage you create the blog under different tab inside own sites and build decent refresh contents & traffic daily. You may consider to create subdomain for this blog category -eg: blog.simplifychurch.com and create all blogs under this sub domain (Google treat the sub domain as part of inbound links). That's will make your site stand out of crowd as one of the key player in your Industry.
