Find important word doc by text in document

I am trying to find a document that we are so far unable to locate. The document is a word 2003, 2007 or 2010 document. I would like to search a shared directory for words that are located in the document. Is there a software that can do that? I have not indexed anything to do a search but figured there was something I could do to find this doc easily.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I think you can do this from within Word its self.
Word has a file search function to find files.
