Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 -- Merging Items

In Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 14.0, a user could merge two items and combine their history, details, etc.

Is there a way to merge two items in GP 2015? For example, I have two items: BAG7 and BACKPACK7. The two items aforementioned are actually identical. I want their history and anywhere else their details may appear, to only appear as BACKPACK7 (BAG7 would cease to exist).

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You should be able to use the "Item Number Combiner" feature in the Professional Services Tools Library.  The library is available at no charge, but you will need to install it if you don't already have it setup.

I've attached the manual for reference.  Installation and setup instructions are included in the manual.

Please let me know if you need any assistance using it.
