Surveillance system

Hi there,

Let me pick your brain...  i need to install a surveillance system for a customer, a total of 8 cameras, 4 indoor and 4 outdoor. We believe It will be an analog system because it falls within the customer's budget, the indoor cameras are the easy part, the question is for the outdoor units, is there a limit in the cable length for analog cameras? we estimate the four of them will be over 500 feet away from the dvr..

any suggestions and\or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Are you going to do the 'run' with coax? Then you should be good for 750/1000 feet for the video signal (using good connectors and cable).
Even then, you might start noticing a little video loss between 100 and 200 feet.

Power on the other hand, might need a little help.
