"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Most likely your router supports connection sleeping to save power but the printer does not know how to wake the connection back up.  It should be an option in your router to turn off.

Also check to make sure it has a Static IP address. It may be losing its IP address to another device. I would to both things: (1) Turn Power Save OFF and (2) Make IP STATIC.
