office 2013 home & business medialess managing update,

Hi all, i have 10 box of office (like in title).
These 10 installations are eating a lot of bandwith, starting update procedure random and obviously x 10 istances.

How can modify registry setting to:
-avoid or forcing update
-choosing a network folder like source for updates
-some preconfigured gpo?

Where i can find update files from microsoft (or in other way)?

Really thank, ask me for details please...

there used to be some freeware softwares one by WSUS office updater by a german developer and and one more which was called autopatcher.  you can google and find their original websites.

WSUS used to download the updates into a usb stick and then you could update other computers with that offline.

WSUSoffline still exists ( and you can use this (the cd/usb or a network share to update the office products)

it is easy if you want to stop the updates, then right click on the my computer and then properties then on the right corner click Windows Update then click Change Setting and you will see a window like this in the image

then you can see the highlighted spot you can select do not update.

please note that window updates are important and required to be updated, if you disable this, then you need to make sure that periodical updates are done offline in those machines where you have disabled the update. becuase this not only disables the update for Office, but also for the window patches.

this is not a way to avoid update. i don't want ti sto windows update, but only office update.
And i have to move 10 pc, i prefer to use gpo ( so i was talking about registry..)
I have to test wsusoffline

After the initial installation of Office 2013, there are 6-900MB of updates for Office.  Most of them are security related and some are bugfixes.  After they are installed, the update process should settle down considerably so I would let them finish and then see where things stand.
If you really want to, you should be able to go to Windows Update in the control panel and change the update settings back to Windows only.
I also recently created the DVD using WSUSOffline for Windows 7 and found that Windows Update still wanted to install 58 updates on the same day I created it and immediately after the reboot so I'm not soo enamored with it, anymore....
