XAMPP

Is there a way I can put a bat file together that will start XAMPP & then start both Apache & MySQL?

Windows XP & up.

Thanks

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I think running this as a service might be a better option, so both apache and Mysql will start automatically.  XAMPP has this built in.

Start XAMPP using "Run as administrator", then you can install apache, Mysql as a service.

You also need to stop the module you want to install as a service then click the "Service" check-box on the left and answer "yes" to the message that pops-up.

Have you read the text files in the XAMPP root and seen the batch files that are there?

Dave Baldwin,

Egg on my face, I didn't even notice those.

I'll see what happens with them.

Thanks!
