FFW emails from one Domain to another

So we have an old email domain A-B-C.com and we want to purchase a new domain ABC.com
We will install a new exchange 2013 server this weekend and we want to have the main email as user@abc.com and alias user@a-b-c.com
All that sound easy except we will use an external email filter services and we want to create only one account for one domain eider for a-b-c.com that it's in use for a few years and will have the most benefits or what I was ask is to see if I can have the spam set for the abc.com and find a way to FFW every email send to a-b-c.com domain to abc.com before it rich the spam filter server.
I know we can do that for the web redirection but if we do it at the registrar level will that work for email. I'm surprised that will work but it's worth to ask

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You will have to add the new domain to the accepted domains of the external spam provider and the normal order of processing is that they recieve all of the emails FIRST, do their magic and then send them onto your exchange server.  Internally it is easy to set up a transport rule to forward from one to another or keep both domains active.  You can remove the older domain after a suitable length of time.. BTW all email from user@abc.com (old) should have the reply-to set to user@a-b-c.com (new).. After a suitable length of time set up an autoreply for abc.com to remind the users to use the new email address and then phase out the old domain

That's easy and that's what I told them first but they come with the idea to have the old domain FFW to the new one because doing what you suggest and what I already sugest involve them to pay twice for the spam filter. Once for each domain. I can't just add an accept it domain for free. They will not make money if they will allow to register one domain and have 100's on the same account. I was thinking at domain redirection but I don't think it will work.
You know when you look at the registar settings of the domain  you have to option to FFW a-b-c.com to abc.com at the registar level. So if somebody type a-b-c.com it will go automaticly to abc.com without dns setup

I realized that the spamfilter accept domain alias that are part of the main account. All I had to do it's add it as an alias and set the mx record of the main domain to the alias domain.
