We have a client that is locked out of his gmail account due to it being hacked. The process available from gmail to recovery the account is next to impossible to complete. (ie. verification questions that are difficult, etc). It seems from "posts" we see others are experiencing same issue. Any ideas as its looking pretty hopeless right now? One question is how to contact gmail via website. I know there is no help desk but we would like to communicate with them via email.
Example of what we've found on internet:

John I had my Google account hacked yesterday. At the bottom of the Gmail web page is a link to show last login IP history, and it showed a login via web from Vietnam. A single isolated login, and they sent a bunch of spam from my address, only to my contacts list or people who had emailed me (but may have not been in my contacts list). The real kicker is that I use Posterous, and they sent spammy links to my Posterous blog, which then posted to other blogs linked to Posterous, which I had to go backtrack and delete. The redirects shut a couple of accounts down, which required sorting out as well. All in all a pretty big headache.
Very strange, and curious as to how they did this because I had a unique and complex password; I use 1Password and have a different password for every place that I have a login. So this one baffles me. Lesson learned; I have now activated the 2-step login process via Google (didn't know that existed before yesterday) and am no longer using gmail for anything critical.
Thanks for your post, it is full of more great ideas that I'll have to look in to.
