Exchange 2003 server taking all my bandwith at a specific time every other morning

Recently my exchange box started taking all of my bandwidth starting at a specific time?  I need to reboot the server and then all is fine "for now".  Once it starts, it consumes all of my bandwidth and everything stops (goes to a crawl) and renders the network useless.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you mean internet bandwidth?
If so, then you need to start looking at what happens at that time. AV software doing updates would be one guess, backup software going to the cloud, user synchronising something large which doesn't complete.
There is nothing in Exchange that could do it.

could it be a DOS attack or a Broadcast storm attack?
Montana ManIT SupportAuthor Commented:
Sorry we have a MPLS configuration so yes internet and the mpls production side.

If it was a DOS or something like that, then it would be constant.
There has to be a trigger of some description, but that doesn't mean it is on the server itself.
You need to look at scheduled tasks, event viewer etc for the time it occurs.
