Can the trial vesion be activated with a genuine key?

I don't know, but  I would assume so.  I would just download the trial and see if there is anyplace to enter an activation key - most trials do this now since they are trying to get you to buy.
Thanks

I'll try it and let you know

Why are you even considering such a poor product like norton in-security? All other AV products I know are better. If this is for personal use I can recommend the free version of Panda Antivirus. I've been using it for many years and have never had a problem. Or if the PC runs under Windows 8.x there is already a built-in AV product that is better than the symantec crap.

Yes it asked for a key code.  Thanks for your help.

I got exactly what I needed
