I believe I have done all that can be done in terms of spreading the network access in my home yet I have been experiencing some annoying network drops.
I have these types of wireless interference:
-baby monitor (can't do without)
-cordless phones (Wife refuses to give up)
-congested 2.4 GHZ wifi band
-who knows what else
I got a feeling i am going to answer my own question here. heh
Here is what i have tried to do with my wifi:
1. put multiple access points stratigeically placed throughout the home
2. Separate all the APs on different channels 1 , 6 and 11
3. Used the 5 GHz band on my router that is capable.
I was reading on here that it is possible to get L2 packet looping if you have multiple wireless APs. Not sure if this is my case.
is there anything else that I can do short of going out and buying a set of Unifi APs ? I just want the speed, stability and keep the money in the pocket!
