What point on stp should I think about before I add a new layer3 switch as access switch ?

What point on stp should I think about before I add a new layer3 switch as access switch which directly is connected to core switch ? I think it is fine as long as we dont let the new switch stp configuration(the value of BID is higher than the root) bother original root switch. Do you think so ?
Thank you

STP is a Layer 2 protocol. L3 switches by definition do not enter STP considerations. Do you have a diagram?

Just make sure you have the desired switch become your Root bridge

Correct

I will assume your Core switch is the Root Bridge (Recommended).
There are few ways to ensure it remains the root bridge permanently (at least until you change the configuration)
- Set the priority to primary
OR
- Set the priority to 0.
