"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Of course you need to look in the add-in section of your browser and remove any add-ins you do not like.

Then 3 things;

1. Run your own anti virus and then also run Malwarebytes. Delete any viruses found.
2. Download, install and run Process Explorer from Microsoft. Look under the Explorer tree for strange (alphanumeric) processes. Delete (kill) these and do not restart. Now run Malwarebytes again to remove more malware.
3. Run TDSKiller from Kaspersky to remove root kit viruses.

You have to configure add-block plus via the "ABP" icon in your browser's addon bar. You can add further subscriptions, and for example also disable "Allow some unobtrusive advertising", which is on by default.
