RAID5 -- reboot during rebuild ?

Can I reboot during rebuild to see if this
frees up whatever process might be STUCK
or will a reboot cause lots of issues ?

=====================================================
DETAILS

 I had a SAS 15k 300GB hard drive
fail in my Dell PowerEdge 2950 RAID5 server
and it has been rebuilding for 2 days which
is fine since all the hard drive lights are
green and I can RDP into the server to get
to the network shares, but the server is REALLY
slow, and should not have taken this long since my
last rebuild on this server did not take this long.

I would just let it go, but it is causing
a "Windows Login" popup when users go
to network shares, enter their Active Directory
user/pass and DOMAIN as normal, and it just
displays the popup again, not allowing
 access to the shares.

CPU usage is about 10%
Memory usage is about 90%

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you think it will help, it will not affect the rebuild ... the rebuild will pick up where it left off once the controller initializes during POST.

rebuild depands on the size of the drives and takes much longer than repair, if yje server is slow it means the raid controller is doing his job.. wait al least 3 days..it's   my opinion, reboot will not restart the rebuild as stated in previous comment..

PET did not say it would restart, he said it will carry on from where it left off.
