Customizing the favicon.ico

I'm trying to customize the favicon at the is location:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\FrontEnd\HttpProxy\owa\auth\15.0.1076\themes\resources

I created a file with our company logo to the same size and file name. However when I try to overwrite the current Microsoft favicon it stays the same. I then pasted it to the desktop and it looks correct but when replacing the favicon at the about location it reverts to the original. What is going on?

I did find other locations too so I'm not sure if I'm at the right location to the change the favicon. Please assist.

I would try to place it in the Current folder as opposed to a version specified folder; e.g. - 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\FrontEnd\HttpProxy\owa\auth\Current\themes\resources'

I went to your recommended file location and over wrote the file but the favicon still looked the same. then I copied the favicon to the same location as you can see in the attached image and it looks like it suppose to. The original favicon does not want to change to the copied image. Suggestions.

Windoze (or any other O/S) won't allow you to have two files with the same name in the same folder and "favicon-copy.ico" is not the same as favicon.ico.  You need to REPLACE the existing file so your icon is "favicon.ico" and you may further need to create new shortcuts to have the new icon be reflected in the link.

I deleted the file and replaced it with our favicon. It still reverted to the standard icon.

If you did, please repost that folder view you did, OK?
