Windows can't reach Internet on first boot

A user with a practically brand new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 20BS can't access the Internet when he boots his computer in the morning, which is connected via Ethernet
He can ping other machines in his subnet but not the Internet ex.
If he reboots it again things return to normal and all is fine
Weird huh ?
Any ideas ?
