Autosaving every minute in MS Word & MS Excel & Google doc/form

I've lost work/changes made to MS Word, Excel (due to laptop hang, power failure)
& Google doc/form (can't save for unknown reason).

Even with Excel auto-recovery, quite a bit of changes were lost on many occasions
(not even the last 5 minutes' changes)

Is there any way to set auto-saving (say every 1 minute) in Word, Excel & Google form/doc?

In my Excel 2003, don't see any File==>Options.

is this only on Office 2007 onwards?

Thanks, saw it in Office 2010 on another laptop.

About half the times, I will use Office 2003 on the other laptop so will be good to
have an Office2003 solution

Any solution for Google doc/forms?

google docs is saved automatically by design, google forms doesn't support auto save yet
