Is anyone familiar with Verifone ZON 530 timeclocks? PN P005-115-09

We have two old (1997) Verifone ZON 530 timeclocks that we use for employee punch-in/punch-out with our Infotronics Attendance system.  They have been running solidly for 18 years, so management hasn't considered them a priority for replacement.

However, one of them recently began to give odd polling errors, and was transmitting garbled data in it's export.  I was able to work out resetting the device, but I cannot find documentation on how to configure it's serial settings.  It's currently giving the message 'Terminal Locked', and looking for function codes to program it.

I have almost zero experience with the clocks, and we cannot find documentation anywhere in the plant on the device.  I contacted Verifone, who told me that the timeclocks are so old that the documentation for them no longer exists (support-speak for 'I don't want to help you, please upgrade).  The owner understands that it's time to upgrade, but in the meantime, I have 140 employees attempting to badge in and out on the same clock, which is making some very unhappy end-users.

Does anyone have any documentation/experience with these that they might be able to share with me?

I've embedded front and rear photos, just in case I mis-identified the timeclock.

From my experience, there is not much settings that you can change on such device which was manufactured in the year 1996.

If such device is not running properly, the only way is to bin it and buy another functioning device of the same model in eBay.

Anyway, I enclose a manual from my Google search.

Thanks Jackie.  I found that manual as well, but there seemed to be some differences between that model and mine (I'm assuming differing code levels).a

I was going to go the ebay route (there are other vendors offering them as well), but I couldn't find a vendor who could guarantee that there would be a manual shipped with the device.

I'll update the ticket more soon.
