GMAIL SIGN OUT PROBLEM
When using Gmail - always uncheck "leave logged box" - however Gmail will not "kept" the setting and leaves logged in anyway. Is there a setting or procedure with will leave the "leave logged in" box unchecked to kept from being logged in unaware?

It's simpler to just use Incognito mode (Chrome based browsers) or Private Browsing mode(Firefox) for signing into Google accounts. That way, you don't have to got delete cookies manually or quit your browser. You still have to remove the initial cookies before you start using incognito mode.
The recent change to Google interfaces seems to have removed the sign out button for me. You used to be able click on your account name at the top of the page and it would drop down a menu to allow you to sign out. It looks like you're not easily allowed to sign out anymore.
You can go to https://accounts.google.com/logout to logout, but that still leaves your name on the screen, because the cookies are still there. The best bet is to delete the cookies now or always use incognito mode, which I have resorted to using now. They're trying to track you harder, but that seems to remove some basic security.
