Hi Experts,

Currently designing an email newsletter for some ads, but for some reason, they are working fine in Gmail and other mail clients, but Outlook does a terrible job and doesnt resize the email to fit the screen like on gmail.  Need help with amending code to get outlook to dispay the email like on gmail.  Using Mailchimp.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Outlook uses Microsoft Word to display and edit HTML content.  Word is stuck at about HTML 3.2 and doesn't handle HTML5 well at all.  As you can see in the first two columns on this page , there are many things that Outlook does not support.

Hi thanks for the feedback,

What would be your advice to get it working on Outlook then?

Thanks for the feedback on this.

Mailchimp has this page about design:   In general because of Outlook using such a simple HTML display, it is recommended that you use old-fashioned table based designs in HTML email.  Modern things like HTML5 are not recognized in Outlook.
