Printing Vanishes !

When printing to a networked printer the print jobs completely vanish from the queue and nothing prints. Is this a driver issue ?

Is this a networked printer in the sense that it's a segregated node (not connected to a PC, only a network wire) or is this connected to a PC and shared out that way?

If it's the first one, do you have permissions to view/modify the queue. If you do then I would reinstall the driver. If not, I would login as a user that does and make sure they aren't just sitting out in the queue in an error state.

If it's the second one (usually only common in small offices and homes) open the queue on each PC that has access to the printer and check to make sure nothing is stuck. It should all show up in one queue but I've seen it not do that in the past.

If this is something like a multi-function copier unit, check the print job queue on the unit itself. These devices feed the job through and it stores in the memory of the printer so it really spends very little time in the queue. It may be stuck in the queue on the actual machine.

Does this happen from all PCs or just one? All programs or just one? All documents for that program or only some? What model printer is it?
