Lotus Notes Database "Invalid NSF Version"
I created an Archive for a user on my client running Notes 9.0
This was because his mail was large and he didn't want to give up his laptop for a few hours.
So I've copied the Archive to the user's PC but when he tries to open it he receives the error "Invalid NSF Version".
He is running the 8.5.3 FP6 (The corporate standard).
I thought this might have something to do with the "ODS"? ( I might be wrong, this is just from Googling).
In any case, does anybody know how I can downgrade or change the Database so that the user can open it?

Compacting the database with ncompact.exe -R will revert the ODS to the previous version.

No, you need to run it from your computer.
Since the file was created with the v.9 ODS format, only a v.9 installation can recognize that ODS format so it can be reverted to the previous version.

What do you mean by previous version?
The Notes Client knows the version prior to the current release?
The file was always v.9 ODS as it was created in 9.0
