I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It's just an IP address from the vast Google cloud and IP space. I recognized it just from seeing it in your question. There is no mystery here. It's just Google! I've heard stories that Google generates lots of web traffic.

My firewall logs show the same thing. Google probably delivers all kinds of content, including YouTube and Google Images content through this same IP space.

It is normal stuff. If you need to see what it is, you need a packet sniffer like Comm View or Wire Shark.

DomainTools is a good place to find out info on IP Numbers:
and like previous posts it is Google.  may be caused by Google toolbars (un-necessary addition in my opinion) or users doing Google searches, plus all the Google Ads on websites.
