IP address info
So I have this IP address 74.125.170.145 that I need to find out what exactly it is. When I enter it in the browser, I see Google.com when i GOOGLE the IP it comes with Google domain, but this doesn't 't tell me much. Are there any other ways I can check and verify what exactly this is? I There is a very high traffic volume coming from a users with destination of 74.125.170.145 and I need to find out what he/she is on.
My firewall logs show the same thing. Google probably delivers all kinds of content, including YouTube and Google Images content through this same IP space.

It is normal stuff. If you need to see what it is, you need a packet sniffer like Comm View or Wire Shark.

DomainTools is a good place to find out info on IP Numbers:
http://whois.domaintools.com/74.125.170.145
and like previous posts it is Google. may be caused by Google toolbars (un-necessary addition in my opinion) or users doing Google searches, plus all the Google Ads on websites.
