SSRS speed up initial load

I remember back when SSRS was dependent upon IIS there was a way to always keep the connection alive so the first person hitting the reports server did not have to wait to the SSRS menu to appear.  Now that the dependency is gone how do you accomplish this? Sometimes users will go hours between running reports and then they complain, rightfully so, that the initial load takes way to long. Is there a way to tickle SSRS every so often so users do not have to wait? This is for SSQL Server 2012 and 2014.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can increase the RecycleTime configuration entry on the rsreportserver.config file
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer

The default is 720 minutes.
