Excel Ribbon: Read and Write Data from and to cells

Hi,

i have an excel spreadsheet, which has a parameter sheet. i want to read the parameters the user keyed in, into the ribbon ( i will be creating custom ribbon tabs for this ). Is it possible to read data from cells and write data to cells from the ribbon ?

I do not think it is possible to write to or from the ribbon.

Instead of writing from cells to ribbon and then from ribbon to other cells you can consider writing from cells to other cells.

Alternatively it would be probably much simpler to write from the parameters sheet to a data file on disk and then from that file to the other sheet.

Thank you Saqib for taking time to answer my question,

but, i have done the reading values from cells to ribbon in one of my project.

This is done using the RibbonUI.InvalidateControl and it works perfectly well.

what i wanted to know is, is this the same procedure for writing to cells from ribbon ?

Typically you would write to a cell using the routine you call from the onAction callback of your Ribbon control, but you can also do it from any other callback.
