I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can export any certificate on a windows server using the Certificates MMC snapin. Whether or not you can export the private key however, depends on whether or not it's set as exportable.

To export a cert via the mmc snapin see the link below:

I believe that the key is set as not exportable, is it something that can be changed easily or is it just as quick to get a real cert from go-daddy?

Thanks for the quick replies
If the key is non-exportable then there's no way to change that. You'll need a new certificate.
