to add, the identity of the device looks wrong which i guess is why its failing..

can this be edited/removed in AD using ADSIEDIT?

You can use the following commands...
Get-ActiveSyncDeviceStatistics -Mailbox user1

Then you can use
Remove-ActiveSyncDevice -Identity deviceid

thought i tried that, so just retried and its failing..

Remove-ActiveSyncDevice -Identity deviceid ******
&
Remove-ActiveSyncDevice -Identity ******

Hi,

Execute this command to get the ActiveSync Device Details:
Get-ActiveSyncDevice –Mailbox “UserName” |Format-List DeviceId, DeviceType, DeviceModel, DeviceOS, FriendlyName, Name

Execute this command to Remove Specific Active Sync Device:
Get-ActiveSyncDevice | where {$_.DeviceId -eq “DeviceID”} | Remove-ActiveSyncDevice

Note: Please replace DeviceID with proper id.

Shreedhar EtteCommented:
Hi,

That "§" symbol used to fill the space.

You just copy paste into the command.
CHI-LTDAuthor Commented:
that's the same command that the console runs and fails..
Shreedhar EtteCommented:
Please post the error..

there must be a way to remove this?
CHI-LTDAuthor Commented:
any ideas?
Shreedhar EtteCommented:
Other option is from EMC. However you mentioned that you are getting error.

Please share the error you are getting.
CHI-LTDAuthor Commented:
So its showing the test device in EMC, but cant remove.
There is also an ipad listed (correctly) and running:
Get-ActiveSyncDevice –Mailbox “UserName” |Format-List DeviceId, DeviceType, DeviceModel, DeviceOS, FriendlyName, Name

shows the ipad only, not the test device.
