change caption on button depending on access to form, subform

What am I missing?  I have a main form with a subform and I wish to change to captions on Location Detail button & label.

Should this be called from OnLoad on the Main form or subform - all depending on Users access rights .    I want to change from Edit to View if the user has Read Only rights?
        Forms![frmHomePage]![Location Detail].Form![cmdEditTCDetail].Forms.[Caption] = "Edit Tax Component Detail"
Forms![frmHomePage]![Location Detail].Form![lblTip].Forms.[Caption] = "To Edit Detail - Select Tax Name and Click Edit button>>>>>"
I also tried
        Forms![frmHomePage]![Location Detail].Form![cmdEditTCDetail].[Caption] = "Edit Tax Component Detail"
Forms![frmHomePage]![Location Detail].Form![lblTip].[Caption] = "To Edit Detail - Select Tax Name and Click Edit button>>>>>"

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you are calling it form the main form, start with Me.
Controls on a subform are accessed by

Me!TheNameOFTheSubFormControl.Form!TheNameofTheControl.ThePropertyToBeScrewedWith

Too many brackets I suspect.
:) If you had it to do over, you would not have spaces in names!
Try

        Me![Location Detail].Form!cmdEditTCDetail.Caption = "Edit Tax Component Detail"
Me![Location Detail].Form!lblTip.Caption = "To Edit Detail - Select Tax Name and Click Edit>>>>>>>>>>"
