SSIS ActiveX Script Task

I'm trying to create a SSIS package and I need to use the ActiveX script task.  However, I do not see the ActiveX Script Task in my list of toolbox items.  How to add this?

I see Script Task, but that is for Visual C# or Visual Basic.  I do not want to convert to Visual C# or Visual Basic.

I'm using Visual Studio Professional 2012 to create a SSIS package for use with MS SQL Server 2014.

Here is a screen shot of my SSIS Toolbox with all the items that I can currently see.

Hello,

Activex Script Task component doesn't exist in 2012 version

So if you are migrating your existing project which is using this Activex Script task then you have to rewrite it.

And if you are creating new package then you can use Script Task

Not using VBScript is unacceptable.  I have too much code that would need to be re-written.

I came up with my own solution to call a VBScript from a SSIS Package

1. Add a Script Task to the Control Flow

I created a script task that calls a C#.net program that then executes a VBScript using parameters for the location of the VBScript File.

2. Add Variables to SSIS Package for VBScript Location

The path and filename are passed to the Script Task.

3. Edit Script for Script Task

public void Main()
		{
			// TODO: Add your code here
            string strScriptPath = Dts.Variables["User::strScriptPath"].Value.ToString();
            string strScriptFile = Dts.Variables["User::strScriptFile"].Value.ToString();
            Process scriptProc = new Process();
            scriptProc.StartInfo.FileName = @"cscript";
            scriptProc.StartInfo.WorkingDirectory = strScriptPath;
            scriptProc.StartInfo.Arguments = "//B //Nologo " + strScriptFile;
            scriptProc.StartInfo.WindowStyle = ProcessWindowStyle.Hidden;
            scriptProc.Start();
            scriptProc.WaitForExit();
            scriptProc.Close();

			Dts.TaskResult = (int)ScriptResults.Success;
		}
