IE9 to IE11 - GPO issues
Hello
We are in the process of upgrading the above and come across an issue (not affecting all machines) whereby some of the users settings are not updating in IE11.
We had 2x IE9 policies, first using IEM for proxy server assigned to all users. The other was a policy which used loopback processing to effectively remove the proxy, this was configured to computers outside of HQ where the proxy resided.
Now with IE11, the preferences are being used for users. I think this policy was also assigned to computers by mistake. However running a gpupdate and forcing the non proxy policy seemed to remove it. However one machine inst removing the setting.
Should the non proxy policy over write the newer IE preferences policy?
ideas why this machine is picking up proxy still?
thanks

i think it was a registry change that was made before ie11 was published in WSUS that was blocking it.
deleted the setting (something like use proxy = 1)
