I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I tried to reboot without success. Is there any conflict between the latest version of Java and this version of iReport?
O-P - I can't answer that I'm afraid - you'll need other experts. My comment was just a knee-jerk 'in case'. (But since I made the comment I looked around the 'net a bit, and there may be some issues if you are using Java 8 - although that was already some time back).

I resolved it by installing jdk1.7 and adding its path to the file iReport.conf
jdkhome="C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_79"
