Resize vmdk using vSphere Web Client

I needed to resize the VMDK File/Expand a Thin-Provisioned Disk  using the   vSphere Web Interface.
Is there any video links or guide to help me?

Thanks.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you need to expand, a thin provision disk, or do you need to re-size a thin provision disk, as these are two different procedures.

e.g. do you need make your OS drive larger ?

This requires two procedures, the first is to re-size the VMDK (virtual disk) using the vSphere Web Interface/Client, by changing the size of the disk. But you will then need to change the OS Partition size, using OS tools, or third party tools.

Disk Management in 2008 R2 and later, can expand a volume. What OS do you have?

otherwise, you may have to use third party tools, and VMware Converter, can be used which makes the process quicker, and complete a V2V.

I wanted to know  how to expand a Thin-Provisioned Virtual Disk   but  using  Web Client.
For example:   Select Home > Storage >  Right-Click the data store >  Right-Click the .vmdk file and select Inflate

The links that you sent earlier are great and I am aware of, however,  I wanted  to know how to do it correctly using the web client and was wondering if there are any simple steps or  Videos please.    Thanks.

If you just want to inflate, from thin to thick. (e.g. expand a thin disk to thick).

For example:   Select Home > Storage >  Right-Click the data store >  Right-Click the .vmdk file and select Inflate

yes, that's how you do it.

Do you need more information?
