vmware vcentre server appliance - what maintenance or settings can be configured

Our server ran out of space on the system folder.

I've now built a new one with larger partition, however im assuming logs have been the root cause.  What can be configured to stop this happening again?

I'm guessing that you're using the embedded vPostgres database, if so, it could be that the database partition is filling up and causing the issue.  Check the log files to see if you are getting any "no space left on device errors."

Check vpxd logs and/or the vPostgres log files.

If this is the problem, you have two options.
1. Increase the disk space (which you've already done)
2. Update the database retention settings. Here's a KB to help with that.
