Create a drop down box/list within the email being sent

I am working on creating a drop down box / list within an email to send to my customers.  Similar to a survey without looking like a survery.  Something short and simple.

Thank you

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

to clarify you want a drop down in the email?

This is not a great solution as not all mail clients will support this - better to have a link to a web form.

Okay - thank you.  Would the link be within the email and the customer clicks on the link?

Yes - and you can pass information in the link through parameters in the URL - so for instance you could have a unique link per email with some identifier (see not below) that links the email to the client.

Embedded links should not be guessable - so using 1,2,3 etc is not a good idea. You should use something random but unique like a GUID / UUID if you are going to pass information in a link - and (depending on application) this should be a use once key so that you don't inadvertently (or through malicious action) have two people using the same link.

If you do not need to use unique links to link email to web form then you can ignore the above.
