"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Did you try this solution?

Please first try the following steps:

1. Open registry editor and make a backup.

2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS\Parameters

3. Find the key "DSA Not Writable" (REG_DWORD) and its value is 0x4

4. Delete "DSA Not Writable" and reboot the server

If the problem continues, you may need to demote and promote this DC.
