Exchange 2013 Standard Edition as Failover / recovery Server

Is it possible to use or configure Exchange 2013 Standard as a failover or replication server for Exchange 2010 Standard? That is, have Exchange 2010 fail over to Exchange 2013 (Both Exchange server being standard editions).

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

No you can't, as this is version incompatibility. Please find below summary:

1. Exchange 2010 Mailbox servers can't connect CAS services.
2. Exchange 2010 Mailbox server can't be a part of Exchange 2013 DAG.
3. Transport service architecture has been changed in Exchange 2013, so it can route e-mails but mail delivery to Exchange 2010 mailbox be done by only Exchange 2010 HT only.
