Citrix 7.6 issue

I have a test citrix environment with a Delivery controller, storefront, agent. When I log into the storefront and go to launch a desktop session the light is green (which leads me to believe that it all connects to the delivery controller OK).

However when I launch the desktop I get a random error with no real detail and the desktop doesn't load (I also cant get any apps to launch) there doesn't seem to be any log files in event viewer where would you start trouble shooting this on the agent / delivery controller ??

check the connections opened from client (i use "netstat -n 5") to see if there keeps a connection in "syn send" state.
is there a firewall between client and VM?
do you use netscaler?
please provide us with more details.

thanks it turns out that it runs internally so must be firewall but i have setup inbound rules to TCP 1494 and 2598 to the store front server but cannot telnet on these address is this correct, is it the storefront server that should receive the telnet ?

Yeah It defintely seems network related but when I telnet on the storefront server to 1494 locally on the actual storefront it doesnt seem to connect is there a link somewhere of the default inbound firewalls needed I have googled and it just seems you need the above 2 and 3389 ?
